Exuma, The Bahamas – The Islands of The Bahamas aren't just famous for their beautiful turquoise water and soft sand beaches - oh no, The Bahamas also boast some of the world’s most beautiful people. Five men who live and work on Nassau, Grand Bahama Island, Staniel Cay and Emerald Bay, Exuma, retired from their usual duties (at least for a few days) to pose for the March 2009 issue of Outside magazine. A leading monthly magazine for outdoor enthusiasts with a circulation of 694,244, Outside features news on fitness, recreation and travel.
In the issue on newsstands now, The Islands of The Bahamas are showcased in a six-page spread marking several locations in Exuma, including Rolle Town, Rolleville and Stocking Island. In addition to the hot fashions, the pictures also feature unmistakable Bahamian touches, like conch shells, Kalik and gorgeous water.
The models were Ryan Russell of High Seas Bahamas, Nassau; Aztec King of the Equinox Yacht, Nassau; Chadrick Hepburn of Grand Bahama Nature Tours, Grand Bahama Island; David Hocher of Staniel Cay Yacht Club, Exuma; and Alex Korch, Tennis Pro at the Four Seasons Emerald Bay in Exuma. The sidebar next to each models's photograph explains the variety of activities available in The Bahamas, including yachting, biking, jeep safaris, free diving, kiteboarding, speedboat excursions, snorkeling, kayaking and tennis.
While shot on Exuma, other locations in The Bahamas are mentioned as well, including New Providence, Grand Bahama Island, Thunderball Grotto, The Exuma Cays Land & Sea Park, Staniel Cay Yacht Club and the Four Seasons Emerald Bay.
Securing feature editorial coverage in major consumer publications is part of an important public relations/marketing communications initiative for the Ministry of Tourism to help showcase the beauty, history and culture of The Islands Of The Bahamas to people around the world.
