The Islands of the Bahamas "Break" into morning TV
NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS — With frigid, record low temperatures making headlines across much of the United States, The Islands Of The Bahamas are making news of their own during the morning broadcasts of NBC Television Network’s local news programs.
Continuing a series of television spots designed to showcase to travelers in the U.S. the many reasons why “It’s Better in The Bahamas,” The Islands Of The Bahamas have partnered with NBC to bring some of the destination’s most valued treasures - the breathtaking beaches, crystal blue water and lively culture - straight to viewers’ homes. From now through April, custom vignettes illustrating a variety of fabulous attractions and activities available in Nassau/Paradise Island and Exuma, such as Atlantis’ Marina Village, Queen’s Staircase and the Pirates Museum in Nassau, and The Ruins, Four Seasons Resort and Chat ‘N’ Chill Bar & Grill in Exuma, will be incorporated once a week into the daily local morning news programs in select major markets, including Atlanta, Boston, Miami/Fort Lauderdale, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C. and West Palm Beach.
Inspired viewers and treasure seekers will be directed to the interactive Web site, www.treasurethebahamas.com, where they can learn more about Nassau/Paradise Island and Exuma, watch the series of vignettes and enter for their chance to win a fabulous getaway for two to Atlantis, Paradise Island.
Similar projects are also underway with other major networks, including ABC and CBS.
