Religion has always been a part of our lives. Some of our earliest settlers came here in search of religious freedom. Their strong faiths greatly influenced our islands. Today, religion continues to play a big role in the lives of Bahamians. You’ll find churches everywhere—even in the smallest communities on The Out Islands. Worship is our way of celebrating life and the awe-inspiring natural beauty that surrounds us every day.

No matter the size of your spiritual group or denomination, our doors are always open. Generation after generation observes the Christian principles stated in the Preamble of The Bahamas Constitution:
