Cable Beach

Xavier's College, a Roman Catholic School, established by the Sisters of Charity in 1889. It was the only girls school in the Bahamas and was the counterpart to the St. Augustine's College that was an all male Catholic school that was administered by the Monks and Catholic Priests.

Yamacraw Hill Beach is located at the end of Prince Charles Drive. It is equipped with benches and is used by the residents who live at the eastern end of New Providence as the turn-around point for their daily walking exercise routine.

Zion Baptist Church was opened for public worship in 1835. A British Baptist Missionary, Rev. Joseph Burton, was its first pastor. The church was destroyed by hurricane in 1929, and rebuilt by Rev. Talmadge Sands. He was the first Bahamian to head the church.
