The tallest structure on Harbour Island is the storage tank for the island's water supply. Running water first came to the island in 1942, at the Sea View Hotel and the Little Boarding House.
Situated in Gregory Town, The Thompson's monument was dedicated to the memory of Sanator, the Honorable George Layman Thompson, 1920 - 1983. Mr. Thompson was also Justice of the Peace in Gregory Town for 40 years.
