Overview

One mile off the shores of Andros Island is the world's third-largest fringing barrier reef (the third largest living organism on the planet), home to almost every variety of exotic fish species. It measures 190 miles long, stretching along the East coast.Running parallel with the Eastern Coast of Andros, the Tongue of the Ocean is a deep ocean trench that begins about 70 feet deep and plunges to more than 6,000 feet. In the waters off the shores, you will find Marlins, Tarpons, Sailfish, Tunas, Snappers, Jacks and other game fish around the barrier reef.
