Brother Peter's Well is located on South Bimini, a stones throw from the northern shoreline. This fresh-water well was carved in solid limestone rock with hammer and chisel by Peter Russell, an ex-slave. This well is attributed with saving the lives of the people of Bimini following the hurricane of 1926. The site is only accessible by boat, following the marked trail and signage from the north coast of South Bimini.
