Bethel Baptist Church is the oldest baptist church in The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, built by Prince William and Sambo Scriven.The ground breaking ceremonies of the first Meeting House of Bethel Baptist, took place at its current site in 1848. The original building was destroyed by a hurricane and rebuilt in 1869 partly funded by a Parliamentary grant. Over the years the church has undergone extensive renovations and additions to accommodate the demands of the continuous growing membership.Bethel Baptist has three services on Sunday: Early Morning Worship at 7:45 a.m., 11:00 a.m. Divine Worship and 6:30 p.m. Evening Worship.Come and worship and enjoy singing and worship at its best.
