Overview
Established in 1965, the reserve encompasses 4,940 acres of an enclosed tidal creek on the northwest shore of Great Inagua and serves as a captive research site for sea turtles, especially the Green Turtle. It is not open to the public so as to protect the habitat where turtles lay their eggs.
