Overview
Western Air offers several daily services between Grand Bahama Island and Nassau. With the largest fleet in the Bahamas of 16 aircraft, Western Air provide corporate and touristic charters throughout the Bahamas and international destinations in the Caribbean and South Florida.Western Air is a fully licensed and insured charter company that currently operates daily schedule flights between Nassau, San Andros, Congo Town, Bimini, Exuma, Abaco and Grand Bahama, Kingston and Montego Bay, Jamaica including on demand charters throughout the Bahamas, Caribbean, Central and South America, making it the largest privately owned airline in the Bahamas. The company currently employs 120 full time employees and its main headquarters, Passenger Terminal, Maintenance Facility and Fixed Based Operation, (FBO) are all located at the San Andros Airport. Additionally, Western Air is currently constructing another 8,400 sq. ft state of the art terminal and a 19,200 sq. ft full service maintenance facility and corporate office in Grand Bahama, which will serve as their northern hub scheduled to open in the winter, 2010.
