Birding

Numerous migratory and indigenous species nest in the hardwood and palm trees throughout the island, and songbirds hide in bushes at Mount Alvernia. Small numbers of the endangered West Indian Whistling Duck inhabit secluded mangroves and other wetland areas. Plus, a number of other waterfowl can be seen along the mangrove fringe at “Boiling Point” or “Boiling Hole.”
