Things to do on Land - Mayaguana Island

Within Mayaguana's three settlements, you can sample local food and drink, entertainment, arts and craft. You will also discover little pockets where history comes alive, including Baptist churches established in 1899 and 1911, the Abraham's Bay Town Square, The Pirate's Well, and the Military Point of Landing. In the outlying areas, you can see a large variety of native flora, fauna and other natural delights.


Attractions

You will see remnants of the island's past and iconic symbols of its cultural heritage.

Birding

Endemic species roost in shrubs in the North; flamingos hide at Black Wood Point.

The cuisine features a variety of dishes made from what islanders call "land crabs."
