We specialize in beaded jewelry and carry a small line of shell jewelry. Items include a conch shell necklace, a lariat necklace made from fresh water pearls and crystal, cat’s eye glass bead necklace, turquoise and pick coral necklace and earrings and much more.
“AnDeana Designs,” a combination of AN (drew) and DEAN (A), is Andrew Dean and friends.
Andrew, the craftsman after whom this shop is named, has Downs Syndrome and began making jewelry in the special school he attended. He then moved into a work center for the physically and mentally challenged. A helper does the intricate aspects of jewelry-making which are beyond the ability of Andrew or his mentally challenged friends. Andrew has also represented the Bahamas in swimming at the World Special Olympics.
