This shark lab/research station has been in existence since 1990, under the direction of Dr. Samuel Gruber. One of its main functions is to study the role of the lemon shark in a tropical marine ecosystem.
The center has been featured in numerous media, including The Discovery Channel and National Geographic Magazine. Tours of the lab and a number of Tropical Marine Biology or Shark Biology courses are offered.
