This beach is located 10 miles east of Abraham's Bay, off a rugged path known as Surd Road. The area is mainly used by those who go "crabbing." That activity involves hunting for crabs that live in the bushes and crevices within the limestone rocks, but go walking late at night. It is strenuous and somewhat dangerous, because you must run around and avoid getting bitten, but it's well worth it. Crab meat is used for a variety of indigenous Bahamian dishes.
