George Gaitor is the only taxi driver on Rum Cay, and he is a friendly and very knowledgeable guide. He offers airport pickups and island tours within the town of Port Nelson and to outlying areas, such as Flamingo Beach, Port Boyd on the North Side, and Sandy Point. Tours are conducted in a 15seater bus and can be arranged by the hour, halfday, or full day. Refreshments and lunch can be provided at an additional cost. It is best to call him at least a day before your scheduled booking; there are no phones at the airport and sometimes cellphone service is not available. Note: Tours to areas other than Sandy Point will be by boat until further notice, due to road damage from a hurricane.
