Thompson Monument

The Thompson monument, erected by Jimmy Headbury, was dedicated to the memory of Senator, the Honorable George Layman Thompson, Sr., 1920 1983. Mr. Thompson was also a Justice of the Peace in Gregory Town for 40 years. The metal sculpture and flag pole at the monument are symbols of hospitality in Gregory Town.

The names of the other Thompson Brothers were Thomas Emmanuel Thompson, Lewis Thompson, Sr., and Samuel Thompson.
