A couple snorkeling in The Exumas.

The Exuma chain is home to some of the most beautiful water in the world, making it one of the prettiest settings for activities in and on the water. There is world-class snorkeling at the Exuma Cays Land and Sea National Park, the first of its kind in the world; the underwater cave system at Thunderball Grotto, named for the James Bond film; Loaded Barrel Reef, with large sea beds of staghorn corals; Liz Lee Shoals, a shallow reef with plenty of brain corals and a variety of soft corals; Duck Cay South, a tiered reef with a kaleidoscope of colorful sea plant life; and Three Sisters, three shallow reefs teeming with small schools of fish. You can rent or purchase snorkel gear or get it as part of a boating trip. Kayaking expeditions, with or without a guide, take you through scenic mangroves at Moriah Harbour, the bonefish flats, or in the ocean. Full- or half-day tours are available. And, you can swim with pigs or go sunfish sailing.
