View of the Byrle Patterson Memorial Garden from the front entrance.

This memorial garden was named to honor one of Hope Town's outstanding citizens, Byrle Malone Patterson, a 7th generation descendant of Hope Town's Founding Mother, Wyannie Malone. Mr. Patterson was a driving force in the establishment of the Wyannie Malone Historical Museum and Mrs. Patterson was instrumental in starting this garden. Memorial stepping stones are placed throughout the garden.

The garden is a must see on a walking tour of Hope Town. It is located on a hill overlooking the Atlantic, offering spectacular ocean views. There is a variety of local flora on the lush grounds, and a gazebo where you can sit and enjoy this oasis of calm in the heart of the settlement on Elbow Cay.
