The Islands Of The Bahamas are ready for a busy spring travel season. As international arrivals continue to increase, Bahamian hotels and airlines are offering great deals making it easy to Fly Away. New developments including property developments and a new spring festival at Atlantis, Paradise Island show that it keeps getting better in The Bahamas.
International Arrivals to Increase in Q1 –The March ForwardKeys survey, which tracks inbound visitor data, revealed that international arrivals to The Bahamas increased by 11.1% in February and arrivals from the U.S. were up 11.8%. The survey also noted that the forward bookings are running 9.0% ahead for international arrivals and 15.6% ahead for April.
Grand Lucayan Resort and Freeport Harbour Are Getting a Big Upgrade – A Letter of Intent has been signed with Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and the ITM Group beginning negotiations for the multi-million dollar purchase of the Grand Lucayan Resortand the redevelopment of FreeportHarbour.
Twilight Electric Festival at Atlantis, Paradise Island – A 10-week spring festival is coming to Atlantis, Paradise Island. Twilight Electric will premiere the cabaret show, “Showtime at the Pink Flamingo,” which will be shown every Wednesday through Sunday. The festival will feature Bahamian art, music, and cuisine and runs April 13 – June 23, 2019. Tickets can be purchased by firstname.lastname@example.org.

66thAnnual National Family Island Regatta (April 23 – 27) – The Exumas will be hosting the 66thAnnual National Family Island Regattathis month. Founded in 1954, the regatta is one of the biggest in The Bahamas and has plenty of other activities surrounding the event.
Bahamas Hoopfest(November 27 – November 30) – Save the date: The NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Thanksgiving Classic will be hosted in Nassau. This will be the first women’s basketball event of its kind to be hosted in The Bahamas. View fan packages here.
