The Government and people of the Islands of The Bahamas are appreciative of all the inquiries, concerns and generous support we have received thus far in the wake of Hurricane Irma. This page has been established as a resource center to help aide those in need. We will continue to update this page with the most relevant information needed so we can continue to provide the necessary assistance to persons and business houses who are willing to lend a helping hand.
The following organizations are accepting donations to assist in the relief of persons affected by Hurricane Irma:
Atlantis Paradise Island has launched a fundraising campaign here on YouCaring. From now until October 31st, Atlantis will match all donations received dollar for dollar, with 100% of the proceeds going to The Bahamas Red Cross, and to the Red Cross efforts in Florida, up to $250,000.
The Caribbean Tourism Recovery Fund is the travel industry’s response, enlisting tourism industry stakeholders and global allies to pool resources in support of the vulnerable and devastated areas of the Caribbean, acting as One Caribbean Family.
The proceeds from this shirt will go to Tourism Cares, benefiting the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association, which will be instrumental in rebuilding the affected islands.
