Hope Great House National Park, Crooked Island, The Bahamas

This protected landmark covers 3.6 acres and includes two Loyalist compounds, with an artillery battery and 19th century plantation house with kitchen. The great house was the centerpiece of the plantation around the time of George V of England. Now the ruins are embraced by aloe and other plants from the orchards and gardens. It became a national park in 2002 and is managed by the Bahamas National Trust.
