This sandy beach is good for picnicking, sunbathing and shelling. It is located 1/2 mile from L&L Enterprises and just beyond the cemetery. You'll have an interesting walk from the street to the shoreline, plus there is good line fishing at nearby Graveyard Flats.

Curtis Creek and North Beach are located in a former farming area, about 4-5 miles from the town of Abraham's Bay. The creek is a natural aquarium for a variety of indigenous fish and a habitat for green turtles.
Da After Work Bar originated as a hangout spot where the men who worked on the boats and on the farms would gather in the evenings. The tradition conditions today and you are likely to find them there playing card games, like Whisk, and Dominoes.

This site near the Mayaguana Airport in Abraham's Bay was once the home of a U.S. military base and former tracking station built in the 1950's along with a 10,000 foot runway. The tracking station was used to help keep astronauts on course at the beginning of the U.S. space program.
This peaceful beach is an interesting place to visit for a picnic or to simply imagine the activities there during bygone days. It is just one mile away from what used to be the U.S. military point of landing on the island.

Fun under the sun seems endless at this beach, which is just 2.5 miles away from the Baycaner Hotel. You can indulge in a variety of experiences, including shelling and snorkeling, nature trails, picnicking in the sandy cove, bone fishing in the flats, and the list goes on.

St. John's Baptist Church was established in 1899, with Rev. Charles William Gibson as its first Pastor. The current Pastor, Rev. Robert Brooks, served as Deacon to Pastor Gibson from 1951 to 1959, and has led the congregation since 1961.
The buccaneers that roamed here in the past dug this well for drinking and it gave the settlement its name. Now it is considered just a point of interest, but well worth visiting for its historical significance.
