You can visit a number of historical sites and learn about island life in the 1800s; climb up a lighthouse and down a cave; tour the Morton Salt facility and see the workings of a modern-day solar salt production facility; explore the Union Creek National Park to see colorful birds like the endangered Bahama parrot and flamingos, and wild donkeys who stand at attention to have their photos taken. On a half- or full-day boating tour, you can snorkel to explore the water wonders of Inagua in reefs just offshore. You will see a variety of fish and turtles playing hide and seek in the hole-filled corals. It also includes a stop at secluded beaches for picnicking, beachcombing, shelling, sunbathing or sifting powdery sand through your fingers while you create sandcastles.
