You can have fun discovering hidden treasures while exploring in and around Port Nelson. Children can climb through caves and historical ruins, hunt for a variety of wild berries, and try to name the various nautical and other figures carved out of native limestone that dot the landscape around Sumner Point Marina & Resort. Explorations on the water will reveal lobsters, sea turtles, snappers, stingrays and other unique aquatic creatures almost camouflaged by the coral and clusters of mangrove. There are sandbars where you can collect shells or you can snorkel along the edges of the salt pond.
