How To Get Around
On the mainland of Eleuthera, you may choose to rent a car to get around, but taxis are readily available by phone and are usually stationed at the airports, docks and hotels. On Harbour Island and Spanish Wells, you'll find that bicycles, golf carts and scooters are the preferred mode of transport, as well as walking, and a number of companies offer vehicles to take advantage of those options. Pedestrians should remember to first look right and then left before crossing streets.
