Traveling to Andros

How To Get Here

Four airports serve Andros: the San Andros International Airport (SAQ), Andros Town Airport (ASD), Clarence A. Bain Airport, Mangrove Cay (MAY) and Congo Town Airport (TZN). Frequent domestic and international service is available via scheduled and charter airlines. By sea, you can travel from Nassau with Bahamas Ferry Services on a fully air-conditioned vessel, or one of three mailboats that provide service to several towns on a weekly (or more frequent) basis.

Andros has two full-service marinas. One is a 34-slip, full-service marina at the Lighthouse Yacht Club & Marina in Fresh Creek, a "must do" harborage when visiting the island. The second marina is located at Kamalame Cay, in Stanyard Creek. Docking facilities are also available at Morgan’s Bluff, North Andros, Lisbon Creek, Mangrove Cay, Drigg’s Hill, and Fresh Creek. Visiting boaters must clear Customs and Immigration at the nearest designated Official Port of Entry - Fresh Creek, Mangrove Cay, Morgan’s Bluff, and San Andros. As you enter port, fly the yellow quarantine flag and notify Customs of your arrival. No one other than the captain is permitted to leave the boat until your vessel has been cleared.
