Ragged Island has a small airstrip at the Duncan Town Airport (DCT). Charter air service can be arranged through any of the certified local and international carriers, via Nassau, The Exumas or Long Island. The primary mode of transportation to the island is by a weekly mailboat into Duncan Town from Nassau.

Private Boats
Visiting boaters must clear Customs and Immigration at the nearest designated Official Port of Entry—in The Exumas or Long Island—before sailing into Ragged Island. As you enter port, fly the yellow quarantine flag and notify Customs of your arrival. No one other than the captain is permitted to leave the boat until your vessel has been cleared. Once you arrive in Ragged Island, there is anchorage at the Gun Point dock in southwest Ragged Island, where fuel and water are available. Small vessels can enter the creek in Duncan Town, or the harbour at Johnson Cay, just north of Ragged Island.
