There is a small airstrip at the Port Nelson Airport (RCY) serviced with flights from Nassau by Pineapple Air on occasion. Charter air service can be arranged through any certified carrier. Private pilots can go to www.rumcayairport.com for airport information. By sea, there is mailboat service from Nassau to Port Nelson on a weekly basis.

Visiting boaters must clear Customs and Immigration at the nearest designated Official Port of Entry—in Long Island or San Salvador—before sailing into Rum Cay.
