Central Florida to Get a Taste of The Bahamas
Kafe Kalik Royale Set to Open on International Drive
Nassau, The Bahamas – Oct. 3, 2008 – Amid movie studios, theme parks and grandiose resorts, Orlando visitors will soon find a new addition to the "must-see" list: Kafe Kalik! The newest Kafe Kalik, the fourth location of the popular Bahamian restaurant, is set to open at the busy Prime Outlets International shopping complex in Orlando, Fla. Kafe Kalik serves authentic Bahamian/Caribbean cuisine and features a genuine Junkanoo entertainment experience unlike anything else found on International Drive.
Kafe Kalik is the only full service restaurant at the Prime Outlets, serving lunch and dinner seven days a week to Central Florida residents and the millions of tourists who visit Orlando for world-renowned outlet shopping each year. Diners will discover many tantalizing dishes and island drinks inspired by the 700 islands in The Bahamas archipelago - including the aphrodisiac conch salad and the infamous Bahama Mama rum punch.
Upon entering Kafe Kalik, visitors instantly feel that they've stepped onto Bahamian soil. From colorful server attire and bright decor to unique menu selections and distinctive meal presentation, every dining experience will embrace the concept of Bahamian "EATertainment."
The original Kafe Kalik at Prince George Wharf, Nassau, features a taste of Bahamian culture through the experience that is Junkanoo. Junkanoo is an exciting Bahamian party, celebrated every Boxing Day and New Year's Eve on Bay Street in Nassau. The new Kafe Kalik on International Drive will feature Junkanoo celebrations for Central Florida residents every day - no need to wait for Boxing Day.
In addition to the original Kafe Kalik in Nassau and the newest location on International Drive, Kafe Kalik serves up fine Bahamian cuisine at the airports in both Orlando and Grand Bahama Island.
Life in The Islands Of The Bahamas is as culturally diverse as it is vibrantly beautiful, from the carefree Out Islands to exciting Nassau/Paradise Island and Grand Bahama Island. With world-class diving and fishing, gorgeous turquoise water and miles of picture perfect beaches, the 700 islands of The Bahamas offer visitors the opportunity to do everything or nothing at all.
