You’ll get a firsthand opportunity to see how local artisans create unique items from raw materials like sand, seashells, straw and more when you’re invited into the workshops of the islands’ cottage industry. There is no central straw market; however, custom-made straw creations are available from a few small boutiques and stores within the towns and at hotels. You can also purchase casual and dressy resort clothing, gift collections, island mugs, perfumes, T-shirts inked with the island’s signature bonefish, and various sundries.
