Shopping in The Exumas is generally limited to hotel boutiques, but you’ll find individual artisans and small craft centers throughout the islands. The Straw Market, a group of individual vendors along the main road into George Town, offers a variety of beautiful baskets, purses and other straw goods that come in unique Exumian designs and colors, plus other handcrafts. Yuma Arts, an association of Exuma's artists and artisans, offers a wide variety of Bahamian-made arts and craft that are displayed everywhere and sold nationally and internationally. They include sand jewelry, shell jewelry, Christmas tree ornaments and lots more.
