A variety of straw work and handmade, authentically Bahamian crafts can be purchased as unique mementos of your trip from artisans in the local cottage industry. They include straw creations, shell craft and some very unusual items made from sisal. Fresh-baked Bahamian bread, pastries, treats and ice cream are available at the bakery. A few convenience stores offer provisions, sundries, fresh fruits and vegetables.
