Sports On Bimini

Sports On Bimini

The islands of Bimini not only have superior activities on the water, but also offer exclusive traditional sports on the ground. Private Cat Cay Island offers its members golf at Windsor Downs, a course named for the Duke of Windsor who was a former Governor in The Bahamas and a frequent guest on the island. Cat Cay also offers members tennis on two lighted tennis courts next to the golf course. Other tennis courts can be found at Bimini Sands Resort & Marina on South Bimini and at Bimini Bay Resort on North Bimini for the use of guests. Complimentary balls and rackets are available. Several competitive walkathons and fun races are organized by civic organizations and community groups throughout the year and visitors can join in. Swimming as a sport can be practiced in Cat Cay’s heated Olympic-sized pool or across a secluded protected bay on the island.
