Sports On Cat Island

Sports On Cat Island

Runners can jog onsite at most hotels, which are located on long stretches of beach ranging from three to eight miles long. There are also miles of trails and long quiet stretches of road in every town. Elevations range from flat terrain to the steep rocking incline of 206-foot high Como Hill on Mount Alvernia. A hike up the stone staircase to The Hermitage, a small stone monastery at its peak, is worth the trek for the awe-inspiring view. Some hotels offer rental bicycles and others provide them complimentary for the use of their guests. It is an easy ride from the hotels in the south to The Hermitage and New Bight.
