International Free Diving Competition

Fifty six athletes, representing 21 countries that span every continent of the world, will compete over nine days of diving. At stake are titles for the world's deepest man and woman free diver and a chance to bring home some of the $20,000 prize pool—the biggest ever in this sport. Venue is Dean's Blue Hole.

St. Peter's & Paul's Catholic Church Annual Bazaar

This fair raises funds to assist with the maintenance and building projects of the seven Catholic churches on the island. Native dishes, music, games and fun for the whole family will be available. Venue is The Big Yard Grounds in Clarence Town.

Stella Maris Resort New Year's Eve Formal Dinner Party

This is the party of the year on Long Island and it is a great way to bring in the New Year! It is open to hotel guests and the general public and the resort goes all out for the many guests that usually attend. A large, scrumptious buffet-style dinner is provided, along with a number of pastries for dessert. There is live entertainment by a local band, plus there are prizes, limbo-dancing and fireworks. Reservations are required, due to limited seating, and dress is formal.
