Four Farmers Markets in Nassau You Should Check Out

Gone are the days when you can find only the freshest produce at farmers markets. These days you can find beauty products, candles and other unique local items. Our farmers markets are filled with great finds for you to use as gifts or even for yourself! After all, there's nothing better than a great deal. With that being said, here are four farmers markets you should consider visiting now.

1. Doongalik Farmers Market - Season begins at the end of August or beginning of September and extends to the middle of May, depending on the farmers. 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Although the season closes, Seasonal Sunshine is at the Doongalik Art Gallery every Saturday, even when the season is done. You can find delicious food and beverages for everyone, including vegans!

2. BAIC Farmers Market - Gladstone Road. Every Saturday, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. You can usually find fresh supply shipped from the Out Islands at this farmers market. Also farming supplies, honey, tea and jams. Value Added Tax (VAT) is added at the register.

3. Island House Farmers Market - Mahogany House Front Porch. 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. In the summer season, there's a farmers market every two weeks. Depending on hurricane season, when the farming starts up again, farmers markets are normally held every week.


4. Chickcharney Farms - Jemi Fitness East and West. 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. This farmers market occurs year-round on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. As Jemi Fitness is their official partner, on Tuesdays they are at Jemi Fitness East and Wednesday and Saturday, they're at Jemi Fitness West.
