Tiger Woods Soaks Up The Bahamas
The golf legend wore a big smile when talking about all the reasons why he loves The Bahamas during a live television press conference to kick off the four-day tournament.
"I come down here quite a bit and I always will. I love coming down to Albany, I love coming down to The Bahamas,” Woods said.
Tiger Woods is making his return to professional golf after a major back surgery. While he made it clear that he is here for business and is ready for competition, the five-time Hero World Champion took advantage of his free time.
“We went free-diving for lobster the other day and that was actually a blast, I love being in the water and I would say I like working on my tan but I think I already have one so it's not because of that. I just love coming down here, everyone is laid-back and it's very much like a So-Cal attitude, where I grew up," he said.
Woods is an investor in one of the most exclusive resorts in The Bahamas, Albany. He’s also an owner of his own luxury villa in The Bahamas.
Woods and his family spend a lot of time in The Bahamas free diving for lobsters, lounging on the beautiful beaches and enjoying the privacy that Albany offers, while occasionally posting fun pictures to Instagram of his catch of the day.
The Hero World Challenge runs from November 30 to December 3. The tournament features 18 of the top 32 players in the world.
