Stocking Island, The Exumas Stocking Island Beacon

Stocking Island is made up of giant sand dunes hardened into limestone rock. On one such sand dune, standing over 100 feet in height, is a beacon used many years ago for navigational purposes. The beacon is a popular attraction for yachters docked in Elizabeth Harbour and hikers to Stocking Island. It can be clearly seen from George Town, Great Exuma.
