Nassau & Paradise Island

NASSAU, Bahamas – The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation (BMOTIA) advises that Hurricane Melissa has now moved away from The Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands. As of 6:00 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2025, the Bahamas Department of Meteorology has discontinued all Hurricane Warnings for the Central and Southeast Bahamas.

Visitors and residents in previously affected areas are advised to follow guidance from local authorities until the official All Clear is issued.

The Bahamas Airport Authority confirms that airports temporarily closed across the Central and Southern Bahamas will reopen after scheduled safety inspections are completed.

Airports in Nassau & Paradise Island, Freeport, Grand Bahama Island, The Abacos, Eleuthera & Harbour Island, Andros, Bimini, and The Berry Islands remain open and operating normally.

We extend our thoughts and prayers to the communities and families affected by Hurricane Melissa and stand with them as recovery efforts continue.
