The Bahamas Wins Silver Magellan Award for “A Lifetime of Islands” Campaign Featuring Lenny Kravitz

The destination is recognised for excellence in tourism marketing and storytelling

NASSAU, Bahamas (06 Jan. 2026) – The Bahamas received a Silver Magellan Award for its globally celebrated “Lifetime of Islands” campaign, featuring Bahamian icon Lenny Kravitz in October 2025. Presented by Travel Weekly, the Magellan Awards honour the best in travel, from marketing and promotion to design, recognising work that inspires through creativity and innovation.

The award-winning campaign highlights The Bahamas as more than a single destination, positioning the country as a collection of distinct experiences, each offering its own rhythm, energy and beauty. Featuring Kravitz and his music, the campaign pairs cinematic visuals with examples of the countless activities across 700 islands and cays to convey The Bahamas as a place travelers return to time and time again.

The Honourable I. Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, said, “’A Lifetime of Islands’ brings our nation to life for travelers around the world. From the pink sands of Harbour Island to the blue holes of Andros, the campaign captures the range of experiences on our islands. Being recognised with a Silver Magellan Award shows our message resonates with audiences, inspiring them to experience the destination for themselves.”

“The ‘Lifetime of Islands’ campaign reflects a clear and intentional approach to how we share The Bahamas with the world,” said Latia Duncombe, Director General. “By reinforcing the depth of our destination through the individuality of our islands, cultures and experiences, the campaign invites deeper engagement. Recognition from the Magellan Awards affirms the strength of that approach and the impact of purposeful storytelling.”

The Silver Magellan distinction places The Bahamas among the most innovative and impactful travel campaigns worldwide.
