The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Tropic Ocean Airways Launch 25-Minute Day Trips to The Bahamas
Miami, FL — February 17, 2026 —The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism in partnership with Tropic Ocean Airways, is launching a new same-day experience that makes the Bahamas closer and easier than ever: Bahamas In A Day, available every Saturday starting February 21.
Guests arrive at Tropic Ocean Airways’ private lobby in Fort Lauderdale just 30 minutes before departure, take off in the morning, land on the water at North Bimini Seaplane Base by 9:00 a.m., spend eight hours on the island, and return home to South Florida by early.
The goal of the new day-trip program is simple: to show people just how close—and how easy—the Bahamas really are.
To celebrate the launch, Bahamas In A Day will be offered at a special promotional rate of $550 per person, representing a $100 savings off the standard launch price of $650. This discounted fare is available on any bookings made prior to March 1.

The Bahamas In A Day Itinerary
• 8:30 AM – Depart Fort Lauderdale
• 9:00 AM – Land in Bimini
• 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM – Island time
• 4:30 PM – Return to the Tropic Ocean Flight Center
• 5:00 PM – Depart Bimini
• 5:30 PM – Arrive back in Fort Lauderdale
Guests spend 8 hours on the island and are home in time for dinner.

The launch of Bahamas In A Day aligns with The Bahamas serving as Destination Sponsor of this year’s South Beach Wine & Food Festival, where the new day-trip experience will be officially introduced to the public.
