The Endangered Acklins Ground Iguana

Tour in a vehicle, hike on foot trails, or sail the mangrove, harbours, or creeks to see a different side of Acklins, Crooked Island and Long Cay on an Eco-Friendly Tour. The rich biodiversity of these islands and its neighboring cays offer caves where Lucayan Indian tribes lived. In addition, rare Bahamian animals, wild birds and exotic plant life reside within Acklins, Crooked Island and Long Cay.

Birdwatching Tour: you will explore environments deep into the "bush" as well as creeks and other wetlands. Acklins, Crooked Island and Long Cay together have over 168 species of migrating and residential birds, which include Whistling Ducks, the Bahamas Woodstar Hummingbird, Eurasian Collared Doves, Common Ground Doves, Ospreys, and our celebrity flocks of Flamingos.

Cave Tours: you can visit the bat and limestone caves at Atwood Harbour and Jumbey Hole on Acklins and the underground world on Crooked Island.  Many of the caves have majestic limestone formations that take on unusual forms and shapes.
