Depre Bahamas is a specialty store retailing the finest in authentic Bahamian art and craft. We are situated at No. 139 West Bay Street, just two minutes West of the famous Fish Fry.
Depre was established in January 2005 producing the finest in Bahamian straw products. Bahamian straw craft is one of the oldest industries in The Bahamas and over the past 20 years we have seen a renaissance in the industry with regard to its production and presentation. Excitedly, we have morfed from exclusively straw to include all things Bahamian. We collaborate with a number of Bahamian artists and artisans, who are masters of their craft in the Bahamian marketplace, the best in authentic Bahamian crafts to West Bay Street.
Our retail space includes, beautiful straw handbags and other straw products including hats, handcrafted jewelry made from the Bahamian pink sand, sea glass as well as varied shells including the conch shell, ceramic ware, deep sea sponges, essential oils, beautiful paintings, tree ornaments, magnets and other gifts and souvenirs.
At Depre we believe that when visitors come to a destination such as the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, they want to take away a souvenir, a product that is authentic to The Bahamas.
Our retail store is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00AM – 5:00PM. We are closed on Sundays and holidays.
