Hope Great House National Park

Acklins & Crooked Island Hope Great House National Park

This protected landmark covers 3.6 acres and includes two Loyalist compounds, with an artillery battery and 19th-century plantation house with kitchen.

The great house was the centerpiece of the plantation around the time of George V of England. Now the ruins are embraced by aloe and other plants from the orchards and gardens. It became a national park in 2002 and is managed by the Bahamas National Trust.
