3 Ways To Have The Holidays Delivered To You
It’s the holiday season! Christmas movies and carols have started playing. There is a slight, crisp chill in the air (79 degrees is often considered sweater weather around The Bahamas). And, the excitement and merriment of preparing to see family, celebrate, and giving thanks create a special energy that is unique to that latter part of the year.
Christmas is a very big deal in The Bahamas, with men and women, throughout the islands, creating large feasts from scratch, as they spend the day with their families. And, while Thanksgiving is not an official Bahamian holiday, chefs, restaurants and at-home cooks throughout the country have embraced the sentiment of the day, by showing gratitude, hosting community outreach efforts, and indulging in the culinary elements associated with the day of gratitude.
While December 25th is all about Bahamian delicacies (inclusive of oven roasted turkey, brown sugar and mustard glazed ham, a wide range of fresh caught seafood, peas and rice, baked macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, stuffing, and crab salad, just to name a few popular menu selections), Thanksgiving menus are usually a fusion of American classics and local cuisine.

Showman eBistro
The Showman eBistro offers a weekly menu delivery service that was launched in early 2020 by Chef Romero Dorsette and his culinary team. Each eBistro box includes all of the ingredients, sauces, and menu components needed to complete a week’s worth of dinners for a family of four - a perfect option for those looking to create a home cooked meal without having to plan or source ingredients.
The eBistro not only utilizes locally grown produce, whenever possible, but all of the sauces, dressings, doughs and pre-made components for their weekly internationally themed boxes are made fresh, by their team of Bahamian chefs. They will be offering special holiday themed menus, this Thanksgiving and Christmas, and they welcome persons looking for a more customized menu experience to contact them directly.
HOW TO ORDER
Each Showman eBistro weekly menu is $120 and can be delivered in New Providence for a fee of $6 or shipped to the Family Islands (shipping details can be confirmed during the ordering process.) Weekly menus are posted on the Showman eBistro social media pages and their website.

Events By Alexandra - Holiday Catered Meals
Chef Alexandra Maillis-Lynch is a well-known culinary powerhouse in the Bahamian food scene. (You can read more about her Events by Alexandra complete catered meal series here). And, this holiday season she will be featuring themed menus, inclusive of delivery, with an international flair. She will offer special multi-course menus on Thanksgiving, in addition to a different Christmas themed menu on December 4, 11, and a Greek Christmas Vegan/Vegetarian feast will be available on December 18. Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve menus will be available on December 24 and December 31, respectively.
HOW TO ORDER
Each catered box includes generous portions for two, and costs $150, plus VAT. Alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage selections are available for an additional $10 each. Weekly menus are posted on the Event by Alexandra social media pages and orders can be placed by email or telephone. It is recommended to order early in the week as menus often sell out quickly.

KRAVEN DELIVERY SERVICE
Kraven is a meal delivery option that allows diners to choose from a wide range of restaurants in Grand Bahama and New Providence (think Uber Eats, Grubhub, etc.). For persons looking for a traditional Bahamian meal, delivered to them, during the holidays, this is a quick and easy option to peruse a selection of different restaurants.
