NASSAU, BAHAMAS (29 April 2020) - Last week, Baha Mar marked the third anniversary since first opening its doors in April 2017 by sharing care packages of essential goods and grocery items with all of the resort’s associates. Baha Mar commemorated the occasion by thanking its 5,000 associates for their contribution to the resort’s success and offering a token of relief during these uncertain times.
This week, the resort destination and its charitable arm, the Baha Mar Resort Foundation, extend the initiative to the wider community by donating 500 care packages to charitable organizations, including the Great Commission Ministries; Lend a Hand Bahamas and Bains and Grants Town Advancement, Patient representative of Dialysis patients PMH and others.
“Many of our fellow Bahamians are facing unprecedented challenges as we navigate the effects of COVID 19 in our community and across the world,” said Robert Sands, SVP of Government & Community Relations and Chairman, Baha Mar Resort Foundation. “It is important for us to work hand in hand with our charitable partners and utilize their networks and expertise to bring a bit of aid those that need it most.
“This contribution from The Baha Mar Resort Foundation is very helpful and we truly appreciate the care and assistance towards our mission to provide food security and relief to those in need throughout The Bahamas,” said Bishop Walter Hanchell from the Great Commission Ministries.
Donations were collected by representatives of the Great Commission Ministries, Lend a Hand Bahamas and Bains and Grants Town Advancement on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.
