Bahamas Featured At Miami Dolphins Game With The Indianapolis Colts on Dec. 27
Once again the Islands of The Bahamas was the premier vacation destination solely promoted to thousands of sports fans in a Bahamas themed game between the Miami Dolphins and the Indianapolis Colts, this past Sunday, December 27, at the newly renovated Sun Life Stadium. The Colts won, 18-12.
The Islands of The Bahamas was promoted as the exclusive destination of the Miami Dolphins, throughout the four-hour game, on some 22,400 total square ft. of high definition video board and a near capacity crowd of more than sixty-five thousand fans.
The highly contested game was also covered widely by the media and promoted to millions more via the Miami Dolphins internet marketing and social media channels.
Mr. Todd Kline, Chief Communications Officer for Developments for the Miami Dolphins, also made a special presentation to The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism (BMOT), in celebration of its on-going partnership with the Miami Dolphins. Accepting the gift on behalf of the Bahamas Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Obie Wilchcombe was the Minister of State for Finance, the Hon. Michael Halkitis, who wore a Miami Dolphins “Jarvis Landry” jersey.
“The high visibility and wide level of exposure The Bahamas brand enjoys as a result of this partnership is nothing short of phenomenal,” said Minister Halkitis.
“The incredible marketing opportunities, afforded to our beautiful islands through this unique and priceless partnership, will pay huge dividends to our tourism industry, for decades,” he said.
Prior to the game and during the game, two lucky fans were awarded a three days two nights stay to The Bahamas inclusive of air transportation on Bahamas air. Fans were also given the opportunity to win key-chains, pens, notepads, water bottles and Islands of The Bahamas cooling fans.
The Islands of The Bahamas is the preferred vacation destination for the Miami Dolphins’ players, legends, members and fans. For the past two years, the Miami Dolphins’ legends and fans, led by former NFL Miami Dolphins quarterback, Dan Marino, have conducted its “Legends Getaway” in The Bahamas. The group participates in golf tournaments, boating, and also conducts football and cheerleading clinics for the youth of The Bahamas. The next planned trip for the group to The Bahamas is May 26-30, 2016.
