The Bahamas has not issued an Ebola alert

The Ministry of Health in The Bahamas is aware of false reports in the media relating to a purported Ebola “high alert" in the country. Please be advised that the Ministry of Health of The Bahamas has not issued an alert related to Ebola virus disease. Additionally, please note that there have been no cases of Ebola in The Bahamas and the country continues to support and adhere to the World Health Organization (WHO) International Health Regulations guidelines as it relates to travel and trade from countries currently involved in the Ebola outbreak. 

All formal communication on such matters are issued only through approved channels, including traditional Bahamian media, and the Ministry of Health’s official website and Facebook page.
