Beaches On Andros

Beaches On Andros

Quiet stretches of pristine gold and pink powder-soft sand beaches line the eastern shore of Andros. The sand usually doesn’t get too hot, so you can walk on it for miles. Beaches have coconut trees with hammocks, nature-based and water-sports activities, or are fringed with casuarinas and palm trees. Of note is the seashell covering on Somerset Creek Beach in Central Andros, which is reminiscent of the setting sun; the nine-mile-long white sandy beach that stretches from Long Bay to The Bluff in South Andros; and the Blue Hole Beach in Mars Bay, South Andros, famous for having a blue hole in the sea, more visible at low tide.
